Jasimine Cooper, BA

Jasimine Cooper is a native of Pittsburgh, PA. The youngest of seven, Jasimine has always felt the desire to work around and with people. Having grown up in the inner city, and experiencing the highs and lows of being raised by a single mother, Jasimine's passion to help people was ignited. With a B.A. degree in Criminal Justice from Edinboro University of PA, Jasimine began working in the Social Service field in 2007. It wasn't until Jasimine's Internship at The Neighborhood Academy that Jasimine discovered her passion to focus on inner city youth. Jasimine has worked in many different capacities with children, youth and families, and is now a Family Coordinator Specialist at Touching Families, Inc. Jasimine holds a position as the Peer Leader for the agency as well. For pleasure, Jasimine is the owner of JA Pours, a beverage specialty company that provides, "all your drinking needs, for the best event indeed!" Jasimine serves on G.O girls executive board of directors as the board vice-president.

Samuel Clifton, BS

Samuel Clifton, a Pittsburgh native graduated from Hampton University in 2011 with a Degree in Marketing. Mr. Clifton has always had a passion to help others, especially in the area of financial literacy and money management. With over 5 years in the banking industry, Mr. Clifton has made it his priority to empower people with financial knowledge. Mr. Clifton believes in improving the financial literacy and economic education of all individuals during all stages of their lives. Mr. Clifton serves as G.O girls board of directors CFO/treasurer. 

Ebony McQueen-Harris, MS

Ebony McQueen-Harris is  is a long-time resident of the Northside and founded LEVELS Creative Empowerment in 2014. In 2015 she received a Neighbor-to-Neighbor grant for a quality of employment project that challenged participants to delve deeper into the overall vision of their lives.  Her workshops focus on entrepreneurial journeys with an emphasis on collaboration within community, business and the creative arts.  Ebony is inspired to reach others through empowerment and purpose, including her annual campaign, #PMP2016: Create-Engage-Transform Empowerment Series.  Ebony is very excited to serve as the program manager for Ignite Northside which launched  March, 2016.  Ignite Northside is a program from New Sun Rising and the Riverside Center for Innovation that: Engages emerging leaders and entrepreneurs from Northside neighborhoods; Launches and Grows community projects and businesses; and Develops action plans and a supportive network to succeed. The first of six Ignite Northside workshop experiences launched March, 2016.

Jamie Johnson, M.S

As owner and CEO of Build You Up! LLC (BYU), a counseling, coaching and consulting firm servicing individuals, couples, ministries and organizations; Jamie Johnson stands on BYU’s mission of “growing to higher heights within”. The firm’s mission is the driving force behind her work. Ms. Johnson has a focus on Marriage and Family counseling, with a range of clientele which includes athletes and entrepreneurs. Ms. Johnson has been working in the social service field for almost 15 years. She transitioned from working with primarily at risk youth to working with families as a whole when she became a Family Coordinator for Touching Families, Inc., a non-profit organization aimed at preventing families from becoming involved in the child welfare system through the implementation of the Family Group Decision Making program. She has moved progressively up the ladder of Touching Families, Inc. by becoming the Program Director for the organization in 2012. A Pittsburgh native, Ms. Johnson holds a BA degree in Psychology with a minor in Sociology from Edinboro University of Pennsylvania and an MS in Education, majoring in Marriage and Family Therapy from Duquesne University. Currently, Ms. Johnson sits on the Board of Directors for Grace for Life, a non-denominational church located in Wilkinsburg, PA. Ms. Johnson’s passion for teaching, training and speaking has impacted many people in and around the city of Pittsburghand Los Angeles, California. Ms. Johnson serves as G.O girls incorporated board president.
